Although I no longer lives in an area that qualifies, I used to receive books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. It’s a fantastic program in which, if you live in an area that qualifies, you are eligible to receive a free book every month for your child until they are five years old. Grandparents are even eligible to get books for their grandchildren. Pretty cool!
Anyway, while I received books we got one called Lull-a-bye, Little One. It became Marcella’s favorite for a long time! In fact, I actually had to get another copy because she loved it so much she had torn out several pages. (It’s a funny way to show affection, but that’s a baby for you. ;))
It’s such a sweet little story that I actually never have tired of reading it to her. It’s a great one to read as part of your child’s bedtime routine which we did for a long time. Sadly, she has a new favorite nighttime book now and I actually miss reading Lull-a-bye, Little One with her. She does actually pick it out sometimes to read during the day but at night she likes to read Green Eggs and Ham now.
